They are currently searching for you, even as you read this. Tons of MLM members who are not happy where they are, and who are looking for their next program, are at the search engines, almost on a constant basis, entering search terms, in an effort to find what it is that you have for them. You will let them discover you by employing some keyword research and other basic search engine optimization techniques.
Go to Google and type, KEYWORD TOOL. The first result should be the Google keyword tool. Go to the tool and type in search terns that you think people would use if they are looking for a good program to join. The tool will tell you how many Google searches are done each month on not only the terms you enter, but dozens of related terms.
For the record, no one is saying that all these searches are coming from experienced marketers, but you can bet your bottom dollar that a lot of them are. And, of course, you would never turn down someone who wants to be your direct referral, just because she does not have experience.
You can find keywords that people are using that indicates they probably have previous experience. For instance, BETTER MLM, is searched about 480 times a month. (By the way, in general, anything over 200 monthly searches is worthwhile.) There is a good chance that these searches are looking for a “better MLM” than their last or current program.
OK, now it is time to research the competition for the keyword to see if it is worth your while. Go to Google’s regular page and enter it, but use quotation marks: “better mlm”. Look at the number of results in small font, under the search box. If it is forty thousand or less, it is worth going forward with it.
So, then go to article directories and publish articles with your targeted keyword in the title and sprinkled throughout the article about 1 time for every 100 words. A three to five hundred word article is long enough. Discuss more than just your program. Establish yourself as a credible source of information.
